Sweden said on Tuesday it was setting up a commission to evaluate the country's response to the novel coronavirus, which has courted controversy by being softer than the rest of Europe.

It will be headed by Mats Melin, an attorney who formerly served on Sweden's top court for administrative cases. On Tuesday, the country of 10.3 million inhabitants reported a total of 68,451 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus, and 5,333 deaths.
