A new study has provided a crucial insight into pill-testing services at music festivals — and the findings contradict a widely held belief.

The Edith Cowan University study surveyed 247 people and found pill testing at an event or in a fixed, permanent spot had no positive influence on the respondents’ intention to use MDMA.

Lead researcher Stephen Bright said there had only been two trials of pill testing at music festivals in Australia and more work was needed before they could be rolled out in WA. The study found pill testing at an event or in a fixed, permanent spot had no positive influence on the respondents’ intention to use MDMA. Picture: Paul BarbaroDr Bright said unlike other states, WA did not have peer-based harm reduction groups to positively influence people’s attitudes towards pill testing and other measures.Dr Bright wants the state government to fund similar services to those in other states.

Yeah and newsflash pill testing won't decrease it either. People just need to be fucking told - take a party pill, expect to die. If they assume the risk, don't come crying to me.

*not a widely held belief by modern standards of brains

Lab leak ‘extremely unlikely’: COVID-19 origin study | Sky News AustraliaThe joint WHO-China study into the origins of COVID-19 says it is an “extremely unlikely” scenario that the virus leaked from a laboratory in Wuhan but Secretary of State Antony Blinken has “real concerns” about the research.\n\n“We’ve got real concerns about the methodology and the process that went into that report – including the fact that the government in Beijing apparently helped to write it,” Mr Blinken said. \n\nIn the report, researchers offered four possible scenarios that caused the virus to infect humans.\n\nAccording to several media outlets that obtained a copy ahead of its release, due within hours, the most likely scenario was that the virus jumped from bats into another animal before making the leap to humans.\n\nThe second most likely scenario was direct transmission from bats to humans, considered a “possible to likely” scenario \n\nThird was transmission from cold food, considered “possible”, followed by a lab leak. \n WHO boss also claims its 'highly likely' that WHO has been paid off by the Chinese. And what is even more sickening than CHINA-VIRUS is that people continue to buy MADE IN CHINA! THANKING THESE VERMIN!!! The same WHO... You'd almost think that the higher ups in the organisation may have been influenced by a certain state to condradict its on the ground staff...

Study finds AOC is among the least effective US lawmakers | Sky News AustraliaRepresentative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a legacy as one of the least effective members in the 116th Congress, according to new research from the Centre for Effective Lawmaking.\n\nThe centre found she introduced 21 “substantive” bills in the recently completed Congress but none became law, passed the chamber of origin, receiving action in a committee or beyond.\n\nShe ranked almost last out of House Democrats and last for her party in the state of New York. All Mouth and No Trousers, is our Gobby Little One. And the fact that AOC pays absolutely zero rent to live in your tiny heads 24/7/365, must be totally infuriating for you guys?! Demoralising even. Marjorie Taylor Greene is giving her a run for her money. At least AOC doesn't actively disrupt the business of Congress.
