“The government is responsible for quarantine and has a duty to allow its citizens to return and enter into it – it should force the states to admit us and provide for them to increase their quarantine facilities. What it must not do is to breach international law. In December last year, Mr Morrison told reporters he intended to get “as many people as possible home, if not all of them, by Christmas”.

There is no way to repatriate overseas students over fellow Australians. Advocates of letting students back first are very Un-Australian.

I can't even get an appointment with the Australian Consulate in Geneva to renew my daughter's Australian passport. Switzerland is essentially open but not the Australian Consulate.

Desperate people who found themselves overseas or went overseas, and ignored early advice to return during a UN declared pandemic. And now want to put extra stress on the unreliable Australian quarantine system. Let me think...nup.

How many of those stranded, left after the first wave cause 300, 000 have returned home since then. I heard a guy left in September and is pissed he can’t get back. Actions have consequences considering businesses and families have been smashed due to border closures.

Victoria is opening back up their Hotel Quarantine - for the 3rd time. Hopefully, they can ramp up quickly & effectively. Do we know which states these people want to return too as a number? Ie 2,000 WA, 15,000 NSW. That’d help plan.
