Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has been seen cuddling koala’s at a Queensland zoo as her deputy, Steven Miles, ramps up the rhetoric against the LNP, comparing the party’s economic plan to children’s story ‘The Magic Pudding’. Mr Miles said Labor’s economic plan was “detailed and costed” in contrast to the LNP’s plan which he compared to children’s storybook ‘The Magic Pudding’ by Norman Lindsay. “I can reveal the LNP’s secret plan. However, Deputy Opposition Leader Tim Mander hit back at Mr Miles, describing the Labor politician as “an embarrassment to the state of Queensland”. The state election campaign has reached the halfway mark as both leaders target undecided voters in the southeast of the state. However, the latest Newspoll released hours before pre-polling begins has given Labor Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk the edge over Opposition Leader Deb Frecklington.
