As the Socceroos prepare for their clash against Argentina on Sunday morning, public screenings for the game are being planned across the country. 9News

States have begun planning live viewing areas in their cities for the next match, a round of 16 clash with tournament heavyweights Argentina, which will kick off at 6am on Sunday.win the World Cup in Qatar."Too late to call a national holiday after the Socceroos' huge win against Denmark last night," he wrote on Twitter.

Geelong is also hosting a live viewing event at Rippleside park, which will be an alcohol-free event. Various live-streaming events will be held across Sydney including at Tumbalong Park in Darling Harbour, Earlwood's Beaman Park, Liverpool's Macquarie Mall, Enmore Park in Marrickville and at Maroubra Beach.

The New South Wales Government will also provide free public transport Sydney-wide on December 4, from 4am to 12pm, to allow the city's residents to get to venues easier.The Opera House sails will also be lit up on December 3, from 8pm until dawn. In Brisbane, you can watch it live in King George Square and Queen Street Mall, while fans in Adelaide will have a live site at Telstra Plaza at the Adelaide Oval.Fans are encouraged to read event guidelines before attending as many will be alcohol free-events.
