'Controversial' call, last lap dive costs Hamilton F1 championshipMercedes are protesting the final race results after a 'controversial' call saw Red Bull's Max Verstappen beat Lewis Hamilton on the last lap to claim the 2021 Formula 1 world championship. This was completely expected. The F1 decision making on display at the end of that race is embarrassing. Either you let lapped cars pass and form up, causing the race to end under caution, or you don't, leaving lapped cars are in the way for Max to pass. Bad mark for F1 there. Does Trump own the Mercedes F1 racing team 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
