South Korea is speeding up its launch of a public coronavirus vaccination program following the detection of its first cases of the variant linked to an infection surge in Britain.

The new variant, thought to be more transmissible than others currently circulating, was found in three people who entered South Korea from London on December 22, the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency said on Monday.

Authorities cautioned the drop may be due to less testing over the weekend and the Christmas holiday, and said they would extend social distancing measures until early January.

I can't wait to find out what's happening in NorthKorea.

The headline is not wrong, just misleading. At least the body of the article says the UK strain of CV19 was found in people entering the country, which means people who are in quarantine, just like the cases in Australia. So South Korea's situation is no different from ours.

The highly virulent B117 strain of SARS-CoV-2 is also here in Australia. There's a major 2nd wave of COVID-19 occurring in NSW. Yet the Federal government is content to sit on its ass and do nothing. 😡 We need mass vaccination to begin NOW!

Propaganda.

I'm looking forward to variant Covid19_V2.
