Solomon Islands Prime Minister Manasseh Sogavare has assured Prime Minister Anthony Albanese that he won’t allow China to establish a military presence in the Solomon Islands despite recently signing a controversial security pact with Beijing.

“Solomon Islands will not do anything … that will

undermine our national security,” Mr Sogavare said.
