Cleaning has also been ramped up on the network, with Transport NSW hiring an additional 700 cleaners since March.

These "agile response" cleaners have already begun boarding buses at Bondi Junction and Parramatta to clean high touch areas such as Opal card readers and stop buttons. However those numbers could be set to rise as school students return to full-time classroom learning from tomorrow.

That’s good they are practicing social distancing on public transport.But and another problem arises. That means more buses will be needed and used to accommodate for extra the empty seating space & more rolling stock for trains & trams. But it means more strain on the system
