The Smith Family is launching a new initiative designed to give children living in poverty access to the internet.

Tech Guide editor Stephen Fenech told Sky News “It’s a way to allow these children living in poverty to access the internet when normally it’s impossible for them to do so”.

“If you have any spare data, you can offer it over on this program. Optus gives them a free sim card with unlimited calls and texts and 10 gigabytes of data made up from what people donate”.

We used to think food, clothes, shelter and a little love was all that was needed for a family in poverty to survive and get a hand up in life. Now apparently it is data for internet use, so that kids can do what with it? Wouldn't school clothes and books be a better idea?

Seriously!! Never heard anything more ridiculous Is this going to be policed or have parental locks on this internet access? if not your just opening the flood gates for pedo smorgasbord hasntanyonelearnedfromthis
