Six bodies have been recovered following a gas explosion at a ski resort in the mountain town of Szczyrk in Poland.

The three-storey building completely collapsed as a result of the blast, which witnesses said shattered window panes in other nearby homes and could be heard clearly by residents.

An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fatal explosion, although a local gas firm has suggested it was probably the fault of a hole drilled into an installation at the site.

Australia's 'border integrity has been restored' following medevac repeal: Dutton | Sky News AustraliaIntegrity has been restored to Australia’s borders following the repeal of the medevac bill, according to Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton. \n\nThe contentious legislation was struck down in the Senate on Wednesday after the government secured the support of key crossbench senator Jacqui Lambie. \n\n“It’s a good day [for Australia],” Mr Dutton told Sky News host Paul Murray. \n\n“We’re very happy that we can stop people from coming to our country that potentially pose a threat to Australian citizens,” Mr Dutton said. \n\nMr Dutton said the disputed laws have cost taxpayers “literally millions and millions of dollars”. \n\n“Money that we could have spent drought-proofing rural areas, giving money to farmers, putting money into law and order and national security”. \n\nMr Dutton said today’s result was “a common sense outcome”. \n\nThe medevac bill allowed doctors a greater say over whether asylum seekers in offshore detention centres can be flown to Australia for treatment, though it still allowed the Home Affairs Minister to reject transfers on national security grounds.\n\nImage: News Corp Australia Bloody oath. Thanks PeterDutton_MP . Your know if Dutton is happy it will mean someone will suffer I'm fairly sure that Dutton doesn't know what the word 'integrity' actually means. Perhaps his wife could explain it to him. Oh, wait.....

Australia's economy needs 'productivity boosting reforms' | Sky News AustraliaThe Coalition needs to enact policies that will boost productivity in order to revitalise Australia's sluggish economic growth, according to economist Andrew Stone.\n\nFigures released on Wednesday by the Australian Bureau of Statistics show the economy has grown by 1.7 per cent since January 1.\n\nRising exports and government spending contributed to the rise, with weak consumer spending the major drag on growth.\n\nMr Stone said government needs to look at 'productivity boosting reforms that actually effect the supply-side of the economy that actually affects growth'.\n\nHe said reforming the energy market is paramount.\n\n'There are basic things that we can do that would get prices down and improve the reliability of supply'. Having decent water storage and not having farmers struggle so hard during our droughts might be a good way to boost the economy. People spend money when they are confident that society is running decently and the infrastructure is up to scratch. It’s not rocket science. Coalition Doesn’t HAVE Any Policies! THAT is the problem. It only has Arrogance, Lies, Secrecy and Bullshit. Duh! but they won’t. They can’t.
