Mr Frydenberg was adamant it was "very much a Liberal budget" consistent with the party's values, pointing to measures to boost homeownership, which he described as a "Menzian Ideal". "At times of national crises, there are no ideological constraints... we need to do everything to prevent a generation of Australians being lost to long-term unemployment," he said. "Right now, the labour market has bounced back very strongly and people are back in work.
