Shortly after Pelosi leaves Taiwan, China sends aircraft into Taiwan Strait

On Wednesday morning, Ms Pelosi addressed Beijing's threats but stopped short of saying the US would offer military support to Taiwan. "[I hope] that [China] understands they will not stand in the way of people coming to Taiwan as a show of friendship and of support," she said. US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi's arrival in Taiwan triggered an immediate and angry response from China.

"[Congress is] committed to the security of Taiwan, in order to have Taiwan be able to most effectively defend themselves," she said.China's ally Russia, also weighed in on Ms Pelosi's visit with Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov condemning it."It's a clear provocation. It's not a deliberate line to support ephemeral freedom and democracy," he said.

West Taiwan seems to be upset at something. Gee what don’t they get!

China should recognize that United States are just states that are united but each state is independent. Start supporting and arming independence movements in Hawaii, Texas, Alaska...

Of course they send in the aircraft 'after' she leaves don't they? It was a threat and the US called their bluff. The whole island is now surrounded with supposedly Chinese military training exercises? Taiwan is the hub of technology..disrupt that and the planet suffers..again

I think nothing of Pelosi but good on her for calling China's bluff.
