Bill Shorten has spent the morning courting voters in the Western Sydney seat of Reid, an electorate Labor hopes it can recapture from the Coalition.

The Labor leader joined his candidate, Sam Crosby, at a local dumpling house in Burwood where the two tried their hands at making the Chinese delicacy.

The Opposition Leader will this afternoon head to Blacktown, where he will deliver a speech to the party faithful at the same venue Gough Whitlam delivered his infamous ‘It’s Time’ speech in 1972. Image: News Corp Australia
