Shorten: Aussies struggling on $150k due to economic pressures

Mr Shorten fiercely opposed the proposed cuts when he was opposition leader, while Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has appeared to support the move by acknowledging middle income earners are doing it tough.

'Cheap 3br' rentals for family in western sydney 1hr from CBD about $1500 a fortnight. Looking to move elesewhere in Syd - every direction is more expensive in Syd right now. North, East, South! Can't imagine how people under average aussie wage are actulally able to survive. 🤔

Strange think to say of course they are, the cost of living affects them as well. They have been able to get themselves into a good job & have a mortgage and a car loan for a new EV etc. I'm struggling on 25k a year but I have no debt some would say I'm better off. 😛

He's half right: $150k is barely enough in Sydney and some pockets of Melbourne. Everywhere else it's more than ample.
