This allowed us to accurately monitor their activity levels throughout the day – something that most people struggle to recall.

Surprisingly, even though participants had not reported doing any structured exercise, about 89% did record what’s known as vigorous intermittent lifestyle physical activity on the tracker. This is physical activity that typically lasts for less than a minute, and usually happens are part of our everyday life. Some examples of this type of physical activity include playing with children and pets, carrying shopping, climbing briskly upstairs, walking uphill or running to catch a train.

Small-scale trials have shown that very small doses of vigorous intermittent activity can improve cardiorespiratory fitness, a vital predictor of longevity. Everyday activity A large proportion of adults don’t meet current physical activity recommendations. One in four people in England do less than 30 minutes of physical activity a week.

Australia's hunt for perfect summer frustrated as South Africa battle for draw in SCG TestSouth Africa's batters finally show some fight as the tourists salvage a draw from the third and final Test at the SCG, with Australia falling eight wickets short of completing a perfect summer. Was always going to be the case. Cummins should've given Usman 2 overs to get his 5 runs. Wouldn't have made any difference to the result. Poor captaincy. Played just like the England of old. Draw. It was always going to be the most likely result. Khawaja will be smoking at the ears with not being allowed a go at 200...fifteen minutes back out in the middle, thats all it would have taken. Five Tests and not one competitive game. Next year
