Shock twist in Titan sub probe after chilling transcript leaked

The Titan made international headlines in June last year when contact with the sub was lost one hour and 45 minutes into its voyage to the Titanic wreck, which lies on the seafloor of the Atlantic Ocean at a depth of 3,800m.

Nearly one year on from when the Titan went missing, the head of the US federal investigation team has revealed the transcript to be fake. While the original source of the transcript is unknown, Mr Neubauer acknowledged it looked realistic, saying, “somebody did it well enough to make it look plausible”.However, one crucial factor that led the investigation team to question its authenticity was that they had access to the real communication logs between the Titan and its mothership.
