Liberal MP Dave Sharma has deleted a Friday night tweet attacking the ABC over links between some of the broadcaster’s former personnel and his independent challenger Allegra Spender.presenter and ABC economics correspondent Emma Alberici was emcee at Ms Spender’s election campaign launch on Thursday and is due to host a “politics in the pub” event with her on Monday night at the Watsons Bay Hotel.
Ms Spender said the ABC has been even-handed in its election coverage and “deserves support from everyone involved in the election”. “Let’s stick to the issues that matter,” she said.
