Israel Folau's case prompts religious leaders to write to Morrison, ShortenNine Australian religious leaders unite to write letters to Scott Morrison and Bill Shorten over concerns that Israel Folau's clash with Rugby Australia sets a dangerous precedent on religious freedoms. Religion should be taught in churches & whatever place of worship you choose.. if you wish to go public with your right to voice your beliefs then be prepared for a backlash.. & if you’ve signed a contract that limits you in anyway more the fool you are .. no sympathy here If Israel folau feels these things ,thats great for him,but why post it on a public forum? Right wing extremist views made public are abhorrent, and society frowns upon it,so why should religion be able to voice out dated, offensive material that hurts people. I don’t see any freedoms being curtailed here. He is still free to express his views. He was free to not sign the contract he decided to break. RA is free to enforce that contract. The public is free to disagree with a view he was free to express on a public forum.
