A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued as Melbourne streets start flooding after a night of relentlessBy 11am on Friday, Victoria’s State Emergency Service had responded to over 300 requests for assistance with most associated with the heavy rain.

Frankston North was one of the worst hit areas on Friday, recording 27mm of rain in a one-hour period to 11.30am. “The rain has also made visibility difficult on the roads, which are also quite slippery, so please drive to the conditions, and, as always, please do not drive through floodwater.”
