Rupert Grint’s creepy streaming series couldn’t be further away from the halls of Hogwarts, as psychological horror series Servant returns to Apple TV+ with a strong season two.

is centred on Dorothy and Sean , a privileged couple who live seemingly charmed lives in anOr they would be living a charmed life if they hadn’t been thrown a particularly vicious curveball one afternoon.

When they welcome young nanny Leanne into their home, the strange teen seems to be connected to odd goings-on. Their meticulously appointed home feels suffocating as horrors are revealed. It’s not a gory, jump scare kind of horror – its terrors are in the manifestation of the lies we tell each other and ourselves., don’t read on just yet if you want to go in without knowing too much. But if you have and you’re keen for season two, which starts this Friday, go on.The second series is less about shock, and the concrete existence of the cult and any supernatural powers Leanne potentially has doesn’t make it all any less mysterious.

It’s a luxury lesser shows either aren’t afforded or aren’t interested in.

While jaw-dropping revelations aren’t the main game here, there is a flip of sorts – a slow, tense build that asks its audience to really consider the dichotomy of victim and perpetrator and the easily blurred lines between the two.
