Prime Minister Scott Morrison says there should be legal consequences for independent senator Fraser Anning blaming the Islamic community for a mosque shooting. 9News

A change.org petition calling for Mr Anning's expulsion from parliament has amassed almost 750,000 signatures.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested after allegedly throwing an egg at Senator Anning at a speaking event at Moorabbin in Melbourne on Saturday. He posted a video on social media saying: "Don't egg politicians, you get tackled by 30 bogans at the same time - I learnt the hard way."He made several more anti-Islamic posts and complained about "the backlash of the establishment media and globalist politicians".

Senator Anning came to the Senate in late 2017 as a replacement for One Nation's Malcolm Roberts after he was found to have been a dual citizen and therefore ineligible for election.

No there shouldn’t he is allowed freedom of speech like you. All this media propaganda is causing lies and hate from people allowed to have their own opinions and traditions. Just like we are told we can’t say merry Christmas anymore. Leave our traditions and beliefs alone

Horseshit! We still have free and TRUTHFUL speech.

Right, legal consequences by booting all Muslims back to their respective 5th century state of origin

🙄good grief!

who needs labor when the so called conservatives carry out soviet style oppression

There should also be severe consequences for the many Muslims who say girls deserve to be raped and non believers should be killed! Well Scott?

9NewsQueensland There are he will be voted out by the people.

9NewsQueensland There are heroes within all of this tragedy in NZ. Anus Anning is not one of them.

Trying to distance themselves.

If he is going to face the full force of the law (and I believe he deserves it) so must these socalled Imans that call for the killing of all Infidels they are allowed to sprout their shit and get away with it in our COUNTRY

Isn't this like hatred and inciting speech, so illegal? If not, make it so. ScottMorrisonMP SBSNews

If he didn’t break a law, that doesn’t make him right, it makes the law wrong.

Whoot.......apparently you can now assault politicians with impunity. Doesn’t matter who it is violence begets violence. Assaulting anybody is illegal and there must be consequences, not applauded by crowd funding.

Isn't it hate language

Well this is the beginning of the end for democracy. This “egging” has set a precedent.. I imagine the Greens must my shitting them selfs right now.

Must be an election looming.... Here’s another band aid all fixed..

bretterlich TheYoungTurks

As distasteful as what he said is, what law did he break?

Again, now coming from the top. PREVENT FREEDOM OF SPEECH are we really heading down that road, if we can not speak soon the gags will come to the press and you will be next. I don't like what he said but people must be able to speak freely even when they are wrong. YOU DO

9NewsQueensland Charge him under the racial vilification act.

There should have been more severe legal consequences for those members of LiberalAus that had distributed racist leaflets during the 2004 Federal election. As I recall ScottMorrisonMP was the Director of the NSW Liberal Party auspol

Excatly so sack him from parliment and throw him in jail and throw away the keys for punching mr connally and for blaming muslims for the evil terrorist act. Oh yea and throw his piglets security along with him as well.

He needs to go

No FoE for senator

Prepare the eggs! It’s allowed now.

Agreed and for punching a 17 year old.

PM says Fraser Anning must face 'full force of law' for 'appalling' anti-Muslim commentsPrime Minister Scott Morrison says there should be legal consequences for independent senator Fraser Anning blaming the Islamic community for a mosque shooting. Well maybe you should actually do something about it? I don’t want to hear from Mr.Morrison. I don’t want to watch him deflect this onto Anning, who is but a minor irritant in a flaming fire that the LNP and OneNation have created. Don’t deliver your insincere wisdom from the pulpit of righteousness- I just don’t want to hear it. Garbage. Freedom of speech shouldn’t be denied no matter how awful his opinions are. It’s exposed him for the idiot he is, now the whole country knows.
