Senator Hughes says Turnbull’s anti-Liberal rhetoric is getting ‘beyond a joke’

Mr Turnbull, in a speech to the Harvard Club of Washington DC, expressed his concerns for moderate voices within the Liberal Party.

Picture Gary Ramage Speaking exclusively to Sky News Australia host Chris Kenny, Senator Hughes slammed Mr Turnbull for his comments saying they were going against the constitution of the Liberal Party. “I do think that there will be some movement post the election when the new State Executive convenes because it really is just getting beyond a joke,” she said.

The Liberal Senator continued to say Mr Turnbull ultimately “owes” his political career and his term as prime minister to the Liberal Party and the people of the Wentworth electorate.
