After 14 rounds of the Big Bash there has never been a better time to pick an in-form Australian T20 team. Or so it would seem | Geoff Lawson

The BBL finals have rushed towards us while maintaining a suitable social distance. The top-of-the-table Sixers play their semi-final in Canberra having not had a single home game all season. Game one on December 10 was seven weeks and several lockdowns ago.

Through these challenging times when the general populace lost jobs and incomes were restricted, cricket players have been able to work and make money. Isolation from family and close friends is difficult in the modern world. Social media connects immediately and frequently, but nothing compares to personal contact.

Never has there been a more convenient, suitable, coherent time to pick an in-form Australian T20 team than now. After 14 rounds of the Big Bash every player has had ample opportunity to show their wares.
