Two people have been badly wounded by a shooting in Jerusalem as Israel's military said it was boosting its forces in the occupied West Bank after a Palestinian gunman shot dead seven people near a synagogue.
That incident took place around Silwan, a Palestinian neighbourhood in East Jerusalem that lies below the Old City walls and where Israeli settlers have stepped up their presence over the past few years.Israeli police said that the gunman in the previous day's attack was a 21-year-old Palestinian resident of East Jerusalem.
The outbreak of violence is the first major confrontation since Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took office last month at the head of a government that includes hardline nationalist parties. Friday's shooting, which occurred on International Holocaust Remembrance Day and on the Jewish Sabbath, was condemned by the White House and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, who expressed concern over the current escalation of violence and urged "utmost restraint".

The ABC has always biased the truth about Israel's persecution of Palestinians. Israeli's steal land house homes farms kill and arrest and when they are attacked they are the victims..Israel is in breach of over 60 UN resolutions the rule of law means nothing to them.
First was “ security crackdown “, than came shootings.
Anyone with an ounce of humanity stand with the Palestinians 100% NO matter what names or secretive actions they DO against u ,
Is the ABC gonna keep hiding the fact that Pfizer was about to make bio weapons out of covid to keep selling vaccines? Jordan tristan walker let it slip and it's all over Twitter.. wake up and report real news..
Don't care, Jews and Arabs will always be at each other's throats. They can keep their conflict over there I don't want to see or hear about it. It's not going to stop until they are all dead.
