Queensland Police have launched a fresh appeal to help authorities in their search for Chinese tourist Jianming Xia who disappeared from Surfers Paradise in 2023.

Police said on Tuesday: “The 58-year-old Chinese national, who was part of a tour group visiting the Gold Coast, was last seen in Surfers Paradise on October 18.”It was reported that Ms Xia departed with her yellow handbag but left her suitcase behind at the hotel. “Jianming contacted an associate, advising her that she was leaving the tour group and would return to China in November,” police said.Ms Xia went missing from popular the tourist destination, Surfers Paradise.
