.mrseankelly: Scott Morrison is starting to take us into his confidence - that's important

If you are a Scott Morrison fan, then this is a very, very good time for you. You can’t get enough? Don’t worry, there’s more on its way. John Howard loomed larger in the national imagination, but that was because he stuck around for such a long time. Once he’d been there a decade, it was difficult to imagine Australia without him. Morrison may yet come close to achieving the same type of cultural omnipresence, only in a much, much shorter time frame.

This phase of regular announcements will pass, but Morrison isn’t going anywhere. As a friend said to me this week, he is now sitting in every boardroom, in the form of JobKeeper. He is with us as we leave the house for our allotted exercise, as we decide to keep the kids in childcare, as we check our super.Scott Morrison has never been keen on voters knowing him well; his beliefs, outside religion, remain mysterious. But a prime minister can’t avoid voters for long.

Second, the government’s expert advisers discussed the modelling with the media. Some clarity emerged. “If we relaxed and went back to normal we would see a rapid, explosive resurgence in epidemic activity,” said one. This is a useful pointer to just how complicated the government’s decisions are about to get.

mrseankelly Scott Morrison has been forced into making some smart Labor policy decisions by the Premiers. He has the advantage of an opposition behaving in an adult manner, unlike his own and his party’s adolescent behaviour during and after the GFC.

mrseankelly Smirk face .. can not be trusted .. he thinks he’s going to use coronavirus to his advantage.. hahaha

mrseankelly Hay.. he thinks.. still won’t won’t vote for him .. don’t forgot about bush fires an what he did

mrseankelly What is it with the media & completely misreading a politician? Is it wilful? There is no other media on the planet that spends so much time gracing their PM or president with platitudes for doing their job After being pushed by state premiers & waiting to copy other countries

mrseankelly You guys still don't believe he was voted in as the PM do you?.

mrseankelly Sean you will never be taken seriously again mate ! Hope it was worth it sprooking a dead horse! Why ? I don’t get it, don’t you think we can make up our own minds. You or your editor should both be sacked absolutely hack journalists

mrseankelly He sat in Hawaii through the bushfires, knowing of covid19. Now through covid 19 he sits at home attempting to push his faith on to all Australians. He has left 1.1 million Australians to fend for themselves, starve and die. joke

Funding lifeline as charities brace for 1 million to seek food reliefThe Morrison government is responding to “rapidly increasing demand” for charitable assistance with a $100 million funding injection starting this week | micksfoley micksfoley Funding is welcome. Odd to see 'The Morrison Government' rather than 'The Government'. The former is usually reserved for political advertising. Is the SMH actively spruiking for the Liberal Party? Or is it a lazy copy and paste from the Media Release?

PM eyes self sufficiency in economic fightback | Sky News AustraliaScott Morrison has his eye on making the Australian economy self-sufficient on the other side of the coronavirus crisis, UTS Professor Warren Hogan says. \n\nThe Prime Minister last week delivered a key speech to the parliament, in which he stressed the need to protect Australia’s economic sovereignty. \n\nProfessor Hogan told Sky News he thinks the government could look to “rebuild” some of the manufacturing sector post-crisis. \n\n“I think the Prime Minister is referring to effectively self-sufficiency,” he said. \n\n'I think this key concept is around making sure Australias, whether the borders are closed or not, whether international supply chains are disrupted, we can make sure we can get key things Australians need.\n\n'The main story is as we come out of this, how do we ensure the new economy is an economy that can make sure it looks after Australia's needs and I think that means rebuilding a big part of our manufacturing base.'\n I’ll believe it when I see it. Like every other western “democracy”, the temptation to artificially pump up the economy with mass immigration will be too strong. Australia should 'never have been allowed to get the way it was', thanks to LIMA, Unidroit, UN agreements! If the Constitution 1901, was Obeyed, Australia wouldn't have lost it's self sufficiency! Politicians that have subverted the Constitution, must be held accountable! Get rid of ChinaMade and have AustralianMade if you want Australia to be self sufficient and STOP letting China buying our LAND and business auspol
