TV star Scott Cam's government ambassador position has been thrust into the spotlight after it was revealed he had posted a total of four social media posts for his $350,000 salary.

Since he was unveiled as National Careers ambassador - alongside the prime minister and employment minister six months ago - the TV tradie has already pocketed more than $100,000.
