A bipartisan approach is needed to do anything consistent about CO2 emissions in the long term. Without it, whatever climate policies one side of politics puts in get ridiculed and then dismantled when the other side gets in to power.

Nothing “surprising” about the fires. Conditions were predicted in the 90s by “her” scientists ... and when the predicted super dry conditions arrived the Govt - including Home Affairs Dept were warned a year ago to prepare This “caught unawares” spin has to be skewered.

Carbon Dioxide is essential food for plants. Reducing CO2 emissions is effectively herbicide.

I was born in the '70's. The position of climate scientists and prominent conservationists e.g Sir David Attenborough has remained consistent my entire life and we are now literally living and breathing their predictions. Where has the science minister been in that time ?

I don't know ANY sane person who is 'denying' that climate change is real, and has been occurring for millennia. I do however know a lot of sane people who rightly believe trying to 'change' an entire planets climate through taxation is fucking absurd.
