Home Affairs Minister karenandrewsmp has discussed the controversial issue of reopening the international borders with Sky News Political Editor aclennell.

Home Affairs Minister Karen Andrews has discussed the controversial issue of reopening the international borders with Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell. Last week Health Minister Greg Hunt suggested there would still be the need for quarantine measures for returning overseas Australians even with a fully vaccinated public. “Vaccination alone is no guarantee that you can open up,” he said.

Questioned today about when the international borders might be opened Ms Andrews said the Morrison government was focused on safety and would “be led by the health advice”. Ms Andrews noted quarantine measures had been successful to date in keeping the virus out of Australia. “The prime minister has made it very clear that home quarantine is something that should be considered”.

karenandrewsmp aclennell What? Did they close? I’ve been back and forth to LA 6 times since April 2020... I love the general population 😂😂😂 they’re so basic!

karenandrewsmp aclennell HomeQuarantine fixes this! HotelQ is unsafe, unhygienic, unworkable and unnecessary. HomeQuarantine is safest says HotelInquiryVIC HomeQuarantine is only viable option. strandedAussies must not be arbitrarily detained into solitary, guilty till proven innocent.

karenandrewsmp aclennell ScottMorrisonMP sir GregHuntMP sir , please open it in one shot today, tomorrow or within few days. no more confusion, dilemma and consideration regarding international border opening for stranded Australian and international students. Its urgent and emergency situation.

karenandrewsmp aclennell 'Ms Andrews noted quarantine measures had been successful to date in keeping the virus out of Australia'. Except for, y'know, the Ruby Dutton ... !

karenandrewsmp aclennell Vaccine represent disaster We can’t have any effective vaccine because the virus is man made

karenandrewsmp aclennell There is “lead by” and then “hiding behind” advice - gov could relax quarantine and strike a reasonable middle ground, however while people lose their minds over any cases it is not going to happen

karenandrewsmp aclennell Allowing people to travel overseas and return and home quarantine if they are vaccinated is a very bad and premature idea. Vaccination doesn't stop people catching Covid or transmitting Covid. It offers personal protection only. WHO agrees So what is the point? Foolish idea

karenandrewsmp aclennell Typical crappy political spin of hiding behind the medics who in turn are bedwetters.
