| British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said in an interview with Sky News that he feared Russia would deploy chemical weapons in Ukraine.

“They start saying that there are chemical weapons that have been stored by their opponents or by the Americans, and so when they themselves deploy chemical weapons, as I fear they may, they have a sort of ... fake story, ready to go.”in the highest-level talks since the conflict began. At a separate news conference, Lavrov showed no sign of making any concessions, saying the operation was going to plan and repeating Moscow’s accusations that Ukraine posed a threat to Russia.Johnson’s comments came a day after British foreign minister Liz Truss told CNN that Britain is very concerned about the potential use of chemical weapons by Russia in Ukraine.
