Iran and Russia have sought to influence the US election by stealing voter registration information in a bid to spread false information | FarrahTomazin

Iran and Russia have sought to influence the US election by obtaining voter registration data in a bid to spread false information.

“Additionally, Iran is distributing other content including a video that implies that individuals have cast fraudulent ballots, even from overseas,” he said.“These actions are desperate attempts by desperate adversaries. Even if the adversaries pursue further attempts to intimidate or attempt to undermine voter confidence, know that our election systems are resilient.”

Ratcliffe said that Russia had not engaged in the same actions as Iran, but “we are aware that they have obtained some voter information, just as they did in 2016.”However, he added that the intelligence community, including the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security, acted swiftly to address the issue and that Americans could have confidence that “we are prepared for the possibility of actions by those hostile to democracy.

However, the unprecedented turnout has also resulted in widespread claims of voter suppression and intimidation tactics. FBI director Chris Wray urged Americans to be "discerning consumers" of information that was spread online.

FarrahTomazin How much longer will US put up with this humiliation before some sort of retaliation.

US files landmark antitrust lawsuit against GoogleThe US Justice Department files an antitrust lawsuit against Alphabet Inc's Google, claiming the $US1 trillion company uses its market power to fend off rivals and stifle competition. It’s interesting that regulation is being used to protect a free market is that an oxymoron ? Considering this is how most large US corporations operate now and have been for decades, I reckon this is politically motivated. If you don't tow the line, Trump will use government to go after you. He just said he will make Barr investigate the Bidens. Banana Republicans.
