A man who stabbed two strangers in Rundle Mall in a violent and unprovoked attack, that left one of the victims fighting for life, has been sentenced to eight years in prison.

District Court Judge Paul Muscat sentenced King to eight years in prison with a non-parole period of four-and-a-half years. "You were holding a knife, you then plunged that knife into [the victim's] abdomen with such force that it broke one of his ribs.Judge Muscat said the victim's injuries were life-threatening and that he would have died if he had not received immediate surgical intervention.The victim's friend was stabbed in his jaw and forearm when he chased after King and a scuffle ensued.on top of a bin in the mall before eating a meal at Hungry Jacks and leaving the city.
