Dockers chief executive Steve Rosich is expected to follow Lyon out of the club after being removed from his role in an extraordinary display of ruthlessness.
Lyon was also informed of the decision on Tuesday morning. The club will hold a press conference at 3pm AEST.Advertisement The Dockers will owe Lyon a payout worth $600,000. He also had clauses in his contract that would have seen him make $850,000 should the Dockers have reached the preliminary final.
Lyon, who took Fremantle to a 2013 grand final loss in only his second year in charge after crossing in sensational fashion from St Kilda, was contracted until 2020, the final season of a five-year deal extended in March, 2016

I remember how much people raved about his coaching when he first started at Fremantle. I was never a fan of his defensive tactics. Dockers became boring to watch ever since he took over.
That took a long long long time should if been gone ages ago
That took a few years longer than it should have.
Now he can join his brother Garry on SEN!
