Last week, Gold Coast Suns defender Wil Powell was handed a five-match suspension after using a homophobic slur in the QClash against Brisbane in round eight. Finlayson has reportedly completed just one session yet has already returned to Port Adelaide’s senior side. “Jeremy Finlayson has undergone one session, albeit deeply affecting, and only that organised just days before Finlayson was due to play again,” Wilson said.Neither the AFL nor Gold Coast Suns have yet confirmed the education for Wil Powell.
Wilson believes the AFL is more concerned about its image, rather than actually working to educate and address the issues.
