Former Queensland Supreme Court Justice Catherine Holmes will lead the commission with the final report due by April 18, 2023. "We know that as late back as 2016 there were members of public flagging concerns that these debts weren't right," she said.Scott Morrison, who was social services minister when the scheme was established, has said the problem was dealt with by his government when it was scrapped in 2020.

The root of the robodebt scandal was naive faith in 'Artificial Intelligence' from politicians with no education in logic or epistemology. Nor any understanding of what intelligence is. Just an enthusiasm for replacing real people with machines.

I was incorrectly accused of not reporting income with this scheme .But to spend millions of dollars to investigate this is scandalous in itself .How lost of ideas is this government already. Retrieving taxpayer money is a good thing and hopefully they are doing it better now
