A Riverland man has appeared in the Berri Magistrates Court this afternoon charged over the alleged indecent assault of an eight-year-old at the weekend.They said he was identified by staff on the venue's CCTV camerasThe court heard the accused allegedly assaulted the child just before 11:00pm on Sunday in a public toilet of a Riverland venue.
In court today, police prosecutors said the accused — who cannot be named for legal reasons — was a known patron of the venue and was identified by staff on the venue's CCTV cameras entering the bathroom at the time of the alleged assault.
