More than 400 riders are set to recreate the first Australian Motorcycle Grand Prix on various vintage machines south of Goulburn, but 100 years later speed is not the driving factor.

On June 23, 1924, more than 60 young motorcycle riders braved a frosty winter morning in the NSW city of Goulburn to write their names in the Australian motorsport history books.A hundred years after that race, more than 400 riders will trace the same course traversed by the competitors, who were described at the time as being just a little crazy.

"They were very brave and foolhardy, the conditions weren't great, I just think they were amazing humans." "You've got to take your hat off to them because they were pioneers in their industry and it started the whole cycle for our modern machines."Greg Smith and Peter Seymour will both be following the tracks of the pioneering riders as part of the centenary celebration.

Advocates hope complaint alleging age discrimination over young gymnast's bullying claims will help address 'power imbalances'
