fine up to $111,000 for individuals and $555,000 for corporations, wow! but how to report to eSafety ?

9NewsMelb These are also anti-trolling laws the Government wanted to be able to sue critics of it in the courts for defamation! There were already laws in place for ‘revenge porn’.

I can see this being abused for sure! I don't know why the government needs to get involved when it comes to cyber bullying. Kids have everything at their disposal to combat that themselves, such as a block button on most social media sites.

Good luck.., please dont record or allow someone to record you having sex. Once online, always will be online. No court in the world can stop that.. 30yrs later, ur grandchildren might find it.

All good on surface BUT Just be cautious that once Govts have this power , they can define scathing attacks on possible politicans scandals as harassment and bully

Does that include our moronic politicians that are putting our children at risk with vaccine mandates

So we won't be hearing any more of Morrison's govt expounding HATE toward China. Now that is a good thing.

If you think the news in Australia is bad now. It'll be even worse now. The news can no longer report on anything but fluffy bunnies.

Bullshit, this is just censorship & the gov are trying to hide it behind 'keep children safe'. Disgusting, the pollies just want to find out names of people who disagree with them so they can take them to court for defamation. Criticize the gov & you'll get in trouble

I must see this revenge porn to decide if its worth banning. Where is it please

Laws don't go far enough, jail time should be included. Typical half arsed crap that provides no real solution to this atrocious problem.

9NewsMelb Do these 'New Laws' cover online Propaganda, Coercion, Blackmail, Lies and Fake News? Asking for a friend..

Sure.. I feel real safe. The Govt implementing more legislation to control the internet & censor the internet is real comforting.. 🙄

It's amply demonstrated by other countries that mask wearing is a habit (like brushing your teeths) that can be learned. The arrogance of this gov and some parents is going to cost kids' lives
