Authorities in Western Australia say people in Shady Hills Estate and east Bullsbrook in Perth's north-east are in immediate danger, as a bushfire continues to threaten lives and homes.

The fire is moving at 150 metres per hour in a north-westerly direction, and its perimeter has grown to 126 kilometres. More than 10,000 hectares of land have been burnt, hundreds of people have been evacuated, and at least 71 homes have been lost.Authorities say the blaze will continue to be challenging until at least the weekend, when weather conditions are expected to improve.
