A study and prayer retreat is the suspected catalyst for a ballooning COVID-19 cluster linked to Tangara School for Girls, as Premier Gladys Berejiklian warns camps and excursions are a pandemic no-go | Kaubo natassiazc

The Tangara cluster grew to 17 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, including 11 senior students across at least two year groups, one teacher, three household contacts and two social contacts.

NSW recorded 22 new COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to 8pm on Monday night, including eight linked to the Tangara School. On Tuesday, Ms Berejiklian said out-of-school camps and retreats should not be running while the state attempts to quash the contagion. Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she expected the Tangara cluster would grow, knowing people who live in the same households as positive cases were "extremely susceptible" to catching the virus.

One parent, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, said the school's communication had been positive but she still did not have as much information as she would like, including the age of students who had tested positive. Her daughter regularly attends after-school Eremeran study and religious clubs, which she said were small groups of about 10 students. She said the clubs had ceased during lockdown and remote learning, but re-commenced recently.

Kaubo natassiazc Putting the die back into Opus Dei

Kaubo natassiazc .GladysB must resign over this! IMMEDIATELY!!! Oh wait she’s not an ALP Premier. It’s all fine, I’m sure it’s Dan’s fault auspol

Kaubo natassiazc I think it should be made clear that although the girls attend that school - the school did not arrange the retreat and knew nothing of it. It’s irresponsible of the media to represent it in this way. I have no connection to the school just pointing out the facts

Kaubo natassiazc So I guess you can’t pray away the virus.

Kaubo natassiazc Seriously what sort of school governance is happen here in the midst of a pandemic ..the Principal of this school should resign imo.

Kaubo natassiazc GladysB obviously they are not a no-go. Schools are open, with hundreds of kids and no social distancing. Children, we were told and assured are not a risk. Is there any wonder there is a stuff up with these actions and messages to the community.

Kaubo natassiazc Of course it was - close confinement indoors for 24 hours, a recipe for disaster

Kaubo natassiazc If there’s a silver-lining here it’s that Tangara School for Girls has been exposed as a hotbed for Opus Dei, the controversial, cult-like, hard core Roman Catholic orgsnization. Super funny the school claiming it had nothing to do with religious / study retreat 😂😂😂

Kaubo natassiazc Will you demand Gladys resigns over this breach?

Kaubo natassiazc Thoughts and prayers will fix it

Kaubo natassiazc Oh for God's sake....

Kaubo natassiazc It’s good that they appear to have traced the source. Not good if some schools/communities think they’re immune

Kaubo natassiazc At least close weekend sport and move extracurricular activities online.

Kaubo natassiazc If they had a BLM retreat, there would be zero cases🤷‍♀️

Kaubo natassiazc Are they from the Christian community of Australians?

Kaubo natassiazc Bloody religion.
