Governments always have to be careful about new spending programs even during a crisis as they immediately develop a vocal constituency urging to keep them in place according to Sky News host Peta Credlin.

Ms Credlin said the budget deficit for 2020 is likely to amount to close to $100 billion, while the government debt will likely top $1 trillion in the next few years. “Reining in debt and deficit is every bit as important as reining in Victoria’s spike in corona cases”.

The current iteration of the JobSeeker payments is forecast to cost the Australian taxpayer nearly $10 billion, while the JobKeeper program will come in at close to $10 billion per month. “However, justified they were then, the problem was always going to be taking them away, given that both businesses and job seekers, inevitably were going to become dependent on them”. “The instant they're there, they develop a massive, and vocal constituency, to keep them.

We all know us “high income earners” (people who earn a bit more than average) will be raped to pay for this debt

Like those on franking credits? Or negative gearing?

But it’s ok for government to give media moguls huge payments to spread bullshit.

There will be huge changes coming to the financial system if I had to guess. The main change I can see is that education and media will be overhauled.

It's a result of the reprehensible reporting by the media of the BLM protests. Police are there to enforce the laws. They don’t make the laws. They are not punching bags. If you are given an instruction by police obey it. They deserve to be treated with respect, the same respect we all like.
