There has been 'no evidence' of community transmission in Queensland for 28 days, QLD Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has said. 9News

The confirmed total number of coronavirus cases in Queensland since the pandemic began stands at 1091.Ms Palaszczuk said the state was "working very closely behind the scenes" in preparations to host the AFL grand final, if required.She said she hoped Victorians would support any decision to move the event.Ms Palaszczuk indicated it would be some time before she even considers lifting border restrictions.

There was no intention to lift interstate travel restrictions while community transmission was occurring in Victoria and New South Wales, she said.She said the health of Queenslanders would be put first.Queensland Deputy Police Commissioner Steve Gollschewski said there were 8800 drivers trying to cross the Queensland border in vehicles over the weekend, of those, 594 people were turned around.
