"The Commission has found clear evidence of a culture where attitudes of misogyny, sexism and racism are allowed to be expressed, and at times acted upon, largely unchecked. "Are women believed? What more can we do to assist a woman fleeing domestic and family violence? How can we treat women better? How can we bring about effective change?"

Changes to the way complaints within the police force are handled including establishing a police integrity unitThe government has allocated a $100 million funding boost to meet these recommendations. "The report is a very difficult read. It presents many examples where we should have done better," she said.
