Queensland and WA have started to ease coronavirus restrictions. What are other states doing?

Premier Dan Andrews and the Victorian Government have always had one date in mind when it's come to discussing restrictions in the state — May 11.

"I'm not ruling out anything because I don't know what transmission will look like this week or next week. But I think that the state of emergency going to May 11 is a nice line-up with National Cabinet process for a real look at changing the restrictions that are in place," Mr Sutton said. The situation in Tasmania has been made more difficult by the recent outbreak in the state's north-west, which now has its own specific set of restrictions in place.

The state's more general restrictions were due to end — or at least be revisited — on May 15, but Mr Gutwein has flagged a cautious approach, even when some allowances are made. Chief Minister Andrew Barr has flagged easing some restrictions soon, but he remains cautious and says opening things like bars and restaurants would likely only be done in line with NSW and other states.

NSW is going to the beach by the looks of it

WA had to ease theirs, Kerry Stokes did it for them

Here in NSW we’re still trying to keep entitled assholes off the beach.

Being sensible

Quick answer. Not enough. It's time for a reasonable rollback on restrictions before the cure becomes worse than the disease.

Wow, the work experience kid runs the ABC News twitter feed on Sunday nights. Who knew?

Waiting to see if WA has breakouts?

This is not a race - don’t present headlines like this which are bordering on irresponsible.

WA eases some coronavirus restrictions, but keeps borders closedPremier Mark McGowan says some coronavirus restrictions can be relaxed. Why not just do it properly because it's pointless doing all this half measures especially when you continue to close the state border which I'm fairly sure is unconstitutional. WA records one new case of COVID-19, linked to cruise ship from RomeThe latest case is linked to passengers from the Costa Luminosa cruise ship, who returned to Perth from Rome in late March. So this lady has been back for at least 4 weeks, in quarantine for 2 and is only now testing positive? And yet our schools are exempt from social distancing 🤷🏻‍♀️ When will our SS/Stazi police force start checking boat people instead of walking parkland and bullying people with their draconian power. maybe reporting would be trying to explain WTF happened here? How are cases still coming up from a cruise a month ago?
