Parts of Qld copped a month’s worth of rain in a day after a wild storm with hailstones the size of tennis balls tore through the state triggering flash flooding.

Six severe to dangerous storm cells merged on Tuesday afternoon over the east coast, producing a large rain band that dumped record falls.Queensland SES were called to 189 jobs overnight in southeast Queensland, including 70 in Brisbane.
