Qld records 13 COVID deaths overnight, taking total to 85

Another 13 people have died from COVID in Queensland after the state recorded 16,031 cases on Friday.Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk.

The figures come after Chief Health Officer John Gerrard revealed on Thursday authorities were planning for COVID patients in the “low thousands” across hospitals at the wave’s peak expected by early February.showing Queensland public hospitals have already declared 12 capacity code yellows between January 1 and January 19., while sites have already used tents to triage new patients in a safe waiting area to avoid congestion inside.
