Q&A recap: Please, Lord, not another election about border protection. We've had seven in a row, to no sensible outcome.

Yes, no sensible outcome. Probably time to take our signatures off the refugee convention and take no more refugees. It is an issue that is dividing the community and wasting good tax payer dollars that could be better spent elsewhere on Australian tax payers.

🤨how many boats arrived after Libs started turnbacks vs KRudd/Gillard?

Boarder protection is vitality important.

John Howard may be the next PM ... that would be like bringing back Lazarus ... again

Amen to that !

Time to relax the borders and try following the Angela Merkel model. She let thousands of refugees in, and is also phasing out coal really fast. And i bet she doesnt give handouts to wealthy retirees

The boats will restart under Labor as before, and people will die at sea. Let’s not forget that the people smugglers have changed their manner of operations to utilise air transport to move people too. The issue still remains to differentiate refugee from opportunistic migrants.

At last someone with perspective. How on earth can any rational person vote decade after decade on a Howard myth? While all around us, flounder in lib chaos, Morrison bangs on About the boats. Bigotry won't care for the planet, feed our grand kids or care for our neighbour

You do know more people overstay by plane? Nonsense boat arrivals is an issue.

Disagree outcome is no more boats!

It is simple, incentives to do super yourself is gone. You are forced into public super funds that profit from fees. This is another bank like scandal, people loses choice but pay fees to the big super funds.

Excuse me ? NO MORE BOATS.

Henderson is hopeless. To say she supports people in Portarlington..what Rubbish. Only ever see her when there is an Election

I’m really disappointed with the attitude of SHendersonMP ... to stoop to fearmongering and advocate barbaric treatment of asylum seekers is a descent into RW extremism. LiberalsVic LiberalAus _Oliver_Yates DavidColemanMP theheraldsun 3AWNeilMitchell auspol

When did Sarah Henderson decide that looking like an evil Republican Senator gunning for the Presidency in House of Cards was a good look?

Let's not hear about the boats again
