Fully vaccinated Sydneysiders will be able to enjoy a drink in a pub by the end of October and some parts of NSW will have restrictions eased within days as the state government reveals its plans to emerge from the extended Delta lockdown.
Data from NSW Health shows 300 infections recorded in the City of Sydney local government area in the past week, nearly half the total recorded there during the entire Delta outbreak. Another 135 cases have been reported in the inner west, 184 in Bayside and 125 in Randwick.NSW Deputy Chief Health Officer Marianne Gale said health authorities were particularly concerned about a jump in infections in Glebe, Waterloo, Redfern and Marrickville.
“We will all rest easy once we get to at least 80 per cent first dose, knowing full well that we’ll hit that double 80 per cent vaccination rate.” The regional NSW lockdown is likely to be extended in some areas beyond its scheduled end this Friday, with another 34 cases recorded across western and far west NSW, including 17 in Dubbo and seven in Wilcannia.

If you’ve been unlucky enough to get the Covid virus and were not vaccinated at the time or had one shot (because of your age), you have to wait 2 months before being vaccinated. Where’s the acknowledgment of these cases and how are they going to be managed It’s not simple!
