A psychiatrist, who sexually assaulted a vulnerable long-term patient, has been jailed for two years. 9News

Prabakar Rajan Thomas, 69, showed no reaction as County Court Judge Liz Gaynor told him he would spend at least 14 months behind bars.

Thomas pleaded guilty earlier this month to a charge of sexual assault, more than three years after his attack on patient Jodie Foster. Ms Foster spoke to reporters outside court and was visibly emotional when she learned her attacker would not walk free.
